Meet Our Instructors

Tristin (Director/Owner)

As a child, Tristin learned to express herself through dance and always had a dream to create a studio where others could do the same. She has been dancing since the age of three and loves being able to teach and share her passion with others. In high school, Tristin danced on her studio's competition team and after graduating high school she found her love for teaching. Throughout college, Tristin was active in her school's dance program and coached several teams in the Denver area. She has danced at Denver Fashion Week and been a judge at CU Boulder's dance auditions. Tristin has a Bachelors degree in Psychology & Dance from MSU Denver. She is excited to grow the studio's competition program and knows that your child's love for dance will grow at Winddancer Studios!

She also studied piano and percussion, and was part of the drum line. At the age of 15, she started performing in shows at Lansing Community College. She was awarded a scholarship to that college and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Dance performance.

She moved to Orlando, Florida and danced for the American Gladiator’s Dinner Theatre as well as the character dance shows at Universal Studios Florida. She toured with Sesame Street Live, danced for the modern dance company, Happendance, and was head coach of the Okemos High School dance team.  She has been a part of the Winddancer staff since 2017 and really enjoys watching the kids excel.

Courtney began dancing at the age of 3 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Courtney trained in the styles of ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, hip hop, and musical theatre. She joined the competition team at 9 years old and traveled around the country to compete. While in high school, Courtney was actively involved in the theatre department. During this time she performed in over 14 shows, choreographed pieces for multiple programs, was showcased frequently as a featured dancer, and was chosen as the department’s dance captain her senior year. During college, Courtney continued performing with the dance department at Colorado State University. Despite her love of performing, Courtney’s true passion is teaching. She has taught at studios in New York, Nevada, and Colorado. When not at the studio, Courtney works as a registered dietitian at a local children’s hospital. Courtney is excited to have found a home at Winddancer Studios and can’t wait to watch her students discover their passions!

Kristen (Flexibility & Conditioning, Comp Teams)

Kristen started out with a musical background, playing the flute from 3rd grade through college. In high school marching band though, she discovered color guard and joined the winter guard team. It was here that she pursued her new love of movement and dance. In college, she joined her school’s dance team, where she performed at football and basketball games as well as fundraiser events and a yearly recital. After college, she joined a local dance studio to continue dancing and to start teaching. At this studio, she helped train the performance team for local events as well as danced with their adult team. Kristen has been with Winddancer Studios now since 2014 and loves sharing her passion for dance.

Renee (Ballet, Ballet/Tap)

Renée grew up near Boulder, Colorado. She started dancing at Boulder Ballet at the age of 3. She stayed with the studio and trained in primarily classical ballet with other styles mixed in until age 18. She began dancing en pointe at age 11 and participated in partnering and repertoire work. She was part of many classic shows such as The Nutcracker, Giselle, as well as many others. She attended summer intensives at ballet studios such as Colorado Ballet and the Nutmeg Conservatory. She competed solo variations at the Denver Ballet Guild and Youth America Grand Prix. After taking a break and completing an engineering degree at the University of Colorado, Bouler, Renée returned to her passion of ballet to start dancing again and teaching. She is very excited to create a positive learning environment for young dancers to fall in love with dance.
